i've read the recent article about genital herpes and it pushed me into writing this. i'm 19 and was introduced to a guy from a very close friend. we were getting on really well until i slept with him and caught genital herpes. i kept it to myself for a few days and went to the doctors for it...

    If you haven't found out yet from a doctor or research it is possible to pass herpes when there are no visible signs of infection. If I was you I would go to a STD specialist and get the latest facts from a professional in that medical field not from a GP. Keep your head up and remember that life is learning experience and try to live more carefully. It is not what happens to you that defines you but how you react to it.

There are two types of HSV, HSV type 1 and 2, and both can cause genital herpes.
