If your parents gave you a copy of your insurance card while you are in school, you call the back of the card to find out what doctors you can go to if not in your area. If you  going to school in your are and you are still seeing a pediatrician find swith to a internist and you should have a gynecologist. Find a gynecologist, you will be responsible for a co-pay. That information should be on your card. You will also be responsible for the co-pay for any prescriptions you receive (that information should be on your card also, if not call the number on back of the card). You are 18 and under the patient privacy act, your doctor cannot disclose anything you discuss with your doctor. Just call your gynecologist and state that you need to come in for an exam. He or she will either do blood work in the office or send you to a lab for blood work. If it comes back positive, you will be place on medication. I hope this information helps.  Listen your parents don't have to know. Just keep your medication in a private place. Good luck!
