I am newly diagnosed with HSV-2 this Dec so I am doing all kinds of research to try to ease my depression & anxiety... and ignorance about this life-long infection I now have. I was saddened to read about the diet recommendations to supress the Virus. Beef(red meat), dairy products, cheese and eggs are not the healthiest choices these days... fine in moderation. BUT- legumes, WHOLE grains and nuts are extremely healthy and should be a staple in a human being's daily diet. They are in mine. To know that I should decrease or eliminate these food groups does not seem sensible in a person's well- balanced eating regimen.
