hoping to find some good advice/answers

By noname16 Tuesday, December 14, 2010

I was diagnosed with genitle HSV in December of 2008. So far i've only gotten an outbreak twice each year and at almost exactly the same time of year. I contracted it from my ex-boyfriends cold sore (yay... =/ ). We continued to have sex, for a while we used condoms, but we also had unprotected sex too. He still has not had any symptoms of HSV. I have also had 2 other sex partners who still have not had any symptoms either.... My question is, does this mean that I have a very unrisky viral shedding rate? and if a person were to contract HSV from me, could it be dormant for several years before any symptoms occur, or would symptoms occur very recently after being exposed to the virus? any thoughts/comments/answers/personal experiences like this/feedback would be *extremely* appreciated.
