Is a Cure for Herpes on the Horizon

Researchers at Duke University Medical Center have now figured out how the HSV1 - the cause of cold sores - manages to hide out.  Apparently they lie dormant in the trigeminal nerve of the face until they are triggered by excessive sunlight, a fever or other stresses. Well now that scientists a...

It would seem then that the -answer- to this lies right here within your post.  What is it about sunlight that activates herpes?  Is it ultra violet rays or some other form of rays?  Why not find a safe way to activate herpes through the use of some kind of focused rays (perhaps in lazer form?), during a regular visit to a clinic, and then take aclavir (sp) to irradicate the virus?

Why wait for some miracle drug to do what the sun does already?  This makes no sense.  I just found out I have the antibodies for HSV-1, and it's devistating to me.  I'm going to get the viral protein testing soon, and all I can do is pray that this test comes out negative.

I want to start a physical relationship, soon, and for now I'm being told that I can't even have unprotected sex which of course means I can't ever have a child of my own...  LOL.  I'll can't even be 100% safe having protected sex.  I can't kiss anyone, so forget sex altogether, in all reality.  Why bother if I can't even kiss anyone and know for sure that it's really safe?  I refuse to kiss anyone because love means more than that, to me at any rate.

This is STUPID.  There's got to be a way to fix this.  Please, tell me I'm right - that finding some means of naturally activating herpes, perhaps through some false, non-deadly illness that the body would still try to fight off with a fever, or whatever, is possible, and is the best answer available right now.
