Suppressive or Not?

By torivaaj Thursday, December 27, 2007
I was recently diagnosed with genital herpes immediately following a tough break up with my boyfriend of almost a year. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar situation of a faithful monogomous relationship and then was diagnosed after a very long period of time. I was also wondering if suppressive therapy is a good option?

Don't upset by the problem you met at this moment. Couples deal successfully with herpes all the time. In most cases, it is only a minor inconvenience.

And there are many herpes single friends on a herpes community: http://www.stdpal.com. I suggest you can go to the blog page to find more friends and information about it

If you want to control shedding the virus then yes, this is a good option, especially if you don't want to pass this on to your partner or mate. I hate those people who say there is nothing to worry about with herpes, go ahead and have sex!! grrrr Don't mind me but this disease needs to be treated seriously, IMHO. Furious
