    Thanks for posting.  Like all illnesses, this is a difficult thing to have to handle.  But you should try not to do it alone. 

     

    Find some support groups onlne or in person, where you can vent or ask questions.  We have Message Boards that might be a place for you to find support.  As well, we have a Support Group resource which might have some information that could help.

     

    In the meantime, you might read on Coping and Questions and Answers sections - they could be of value to you.

There are two types of HSV, HSV type 1 and 2, and both can cause genital herpes.
