My husband has not had any signs or symptoms or HSV 2 but I have a constant outbrake that will not subside with medicine. Could he have it and be reinfecting me? If he does have it, will a blood test show positive even if he has never had any signs or symptoms?

Once you are diagnosed with it, you have the virus for life. Your husband should go for blood testing and that is pretty accurate to see if he has HSV2.
Husband first outbreak was in March 2007. He got it from an affair in December. I went for testing right away and was not infected.. but it took at least 3-4 months before the HSV antibodies to show up in the body if you are exposed to it. Guess what, I went for testing again and was told that I tested positive for it on Dec 18th/07.
Him wearing a condom sure did nothing to protect me. He should have gone on medication right away to suppress the virus.
I read online that women tend to get more outbreaks. He had just that one. Mine was so mild that I thought I had yeast infection which I had never experienced before. Lots of discharge though.
Send him to be tested. Mine went for testing and tested positive.
Sad really to get infected by someone after 24 years of marriage. People should think twice before having affairs while still married.
