How did I get herpes? Did my partner cheat? Or did I have it before the relationship? How long can herpes stay dormant? These are some of the questions that people newly diagnosed with genital herpes ask. Here's what we know about how this infection occurs. The first outbreak usua...

The virus starts to multiply when it gets into the skin cells. The skin becomes red and sensitive, and soon afterward, one or more blisters or bumps appear. The blisters first open, and then heal as new skin tissue forms. During a first outbreak, the area is usually painful and may itch, burn or tingle. Flu-like symptoms are also common. These include swollen glands, headache, muscle ache or fever. Herpes may also infect the urethra, and urinating may cause a burning sensation.

i understand that this herpes can also be mistaken for chicken pox, but it seems hard to determine symptom, unless lessions are showing. i mean it doen`t seem we can treat what`s no there. lets say if its there you have it, if its not why create something thats no there !!!!!

I believe from a medical determination, we are trained to look for the obviuos, but from an infected person, mentally we are created to create also, and we will begin to call those things that are no what we call them.

    God Bless!!!!

I believe i contracted the virus (HVS-2), how or when I don't know. But I never experianced any symptoms. Until i went in to a std clinic to get checked randomly, because i was sexually active.

They claimed i had HPV and applied acid to remove the wart, i had a few skin tags (1-3 scattered randomly at the base of my penis) that were visually unappealing so i wanted to remove those.  After the acid was applied it pealed off the skin leaving me with a glossy white residue. A nurse ided it as genital herpes, but even the exposed skin with the white film of residue caused me little or no pain, even when aggitated. So i questioned it HVS-2 with no pain?

I later began to feel symptoms around my body (itchy, burning, redness etc.)  This further leads me to believe i have contracted HVS-2.  I am scheduled to see a specialist March 3rd, and have had my blood sent off for HVS testing. My fingers are crossed but i'm preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

If in fact I do come out positive, which as of now I think I am.  I did not experiance any symptoms previous to the acid being applied to my "HPV."

There are two types of HSV, HSV type 1 and 2, and both can cause genital herpes.
