I have read a lot about this disease, but cannot figure out whether I can transmit the disease to my partner by kissing someone and giving someone oral sex. The information I have read is confusing - I'm reading I can pass even genital herpes through saliva, but at the same time it cautions heavily against so many things but really doesn't caution against kissing and being the giver of oral sex. herpes can be transmitted during kissing and during oral activiy to answer your quetion. It seems to be a common misconseption that stds cant be transmitted this way but thats untrue.
