My ex texted me today and said hes afraid he may have herpes. He is at the beach, and said it started with his testicles being itchy and he thought it was just because of the sand. Then his penis started developing red dots on it that were itchy. It has been about 3 months since we last had sex. I told him that herpes are usually blisters and they hurt more than itch. What else could this be??

People just don't understand about it and it does start off just like you described. See if herpes was so out in your face like people think alot of us would not have it. Truthfully alot of people have herpes and there is no symptoms and they just give it to others unaware they even have it and they need to come up with a vaccine to help people and get it on the market.
I completely agree. most people have it in their genes anyway. I have type 1 on my genitals so mine isn't a severe one.
I have the same thing. Type one on my vagina.
