I got herpes about 9 months ago from a guy that lied to me about not having it. It took me months to accept the fact that I have it, and to dump him because he treated me like crap. It's been a long road of recovering and acceptance of myself, but this has left me quite bitter towards other people. I...

You are not asking too much for him to be tested I think everyone should be.  Plus, that will give you a chance to come clean yourself and tell him before you let it go too far.  I was just doing research on some symptoms I have been having I am really worried that I may have Genital Herpes I am in a manogomous relationship of a year and a half but I went to the doctor and i should get the tests back on a few days.  well i wish you the best of luck just be honest and everything happens for a reason at least youll know youre with someone who truely loves you

At first you will feel bitter that is an understatement, but then you learn not everybody is going to be like you right so this is an eye opener.  No longer do you believe because you would have acted in a kind way does not mean everyone will Learn from this and cope with possitive thoughts and medication and with time it does get better.  Guys will say anything to get laid rule number one and if they truly care for you they will understand your problem and care about you.  60 ways to leave your lover is still one of my favorite songs. One out of five people in the US have herpes we are not alone.
