I finally get up the nerve to read the info on herpes....my dr (and I use this term loosely) did not give me any other info on herpes other than use a condom, 80% of the population have type 1, and a prescription.
Now I find out oral sex is out without protection, kissing is not usually a way to transmit herpes, but it didnt say 100% you can't transmit it, and that I may have had this for years and I just didnt know it (but I only recently had an outbreak). So basically not only am I dirty and diseased I could have spread this to other people, which is something I really dont think is cool and definately dont want to do.
And if I want to date I should try this online dating site where everyone has herpes or some std......and guess what I went on the site and the men on the site are no different than the men on match.com......lol they want a supermodel, and I am no supermodel. I have tried the online dating thing and hated it, you send a few emails think they may be cool and you meet them and they lied about their weight, marriage status, or there is just no chemisty there. So what do I do, I dont think there is an actual support group you can go to and socialize.
I know I have to come to terms with having herpes, but when I go to bed at night I cant sleep thinking about having to spend the rest of my life alone, which I have lived it alone for the past three years with no issues, but now I have issues with it, actually I have so many issues with it I have a subscription. I worry if I kiss my son if I am going to give him herpes.....I have had cold sores since I was a kid so someone gave it to me as a child probably by kissing me with a cold sore. I worry that I am not going to be able to handle this.....
Yep, herpes, a gift that keeps on giving.........and why is it uncurable......if 80% of the population have type 1 it why cant they work on a cure for type 1 and 2, and I see the commercials for Abreva it makes colds sore go away in a shorter amount of time, the next time I have a breakout can I use that to get the outbreak overwith faster?
