One Trip To The Doctors.

By anonymousalice Saturday, June 26, 2010

Hello, I am a 14 year old girl. Who has been diagnosed with Gential Herpes. I have only had sex with one guy, and he was my boyfriend for a year. I thought I wouldnt get hurt, we were both virgins and knowing that I thought I wouldn't get and STD. Well when we took a break on the relationship he was seeing another girl. The other girl gave him oral, and he didnt know she had herpes in her mouth. He didnt get herpes, so he had no idea that he carried the virus. We tried again to work our relationship out. After we did and we got back together, we had sex. He passed it to me, I was unaware of her doing anything with him. It started to hurt when i went pee, and it was severe pain down lower. I had a bladder infection before, so the first thing that popped to my head was that. Then I looked on the computer and saw it could be a Yeast infection. But i never knew i was diagnosed with Herpes. I went to the doctors with my mother. And I sat there thinking nothing was gonna turn out bad. The doctor gave me the news. I was shocked, I said I only had sex once. But then I remember when me and my boyfriend took a break. I called him and he told me she gave him oral. He didnt get it, but I did. I went home and all I did was cry, how could this happen to me I asked, I didnt deserve this. But now I know I gotta live with it and this is my life. I will be strong for myself and my family. Im Anonymous Alice and Im 14 With Gential Herpes.

Hi Alice,

I am sorry at 14 you had to face a real adult problem.  So now you have it you need to know some things.  You should not do anything to bring down your immune system.  Try to do healthy things that will keep it in remission. Stay away from drama to avoid stress to avoid outbreaks.  Love yourself unconditionally so others will too.  A guy cares about you, the you inside he will not only want sex but want a friendship with you and more.  He will care about you regardless and give you time to get out of school and mature to a fine young lady.  You still have a bright future, but you must remain focused to achieve your goals.  So maybe now you can have more time to work on school and get a good job in your future that is what I hope for you, and to realize we are all just like you I have had herpes since 1994, and I did not know what it was until too late, but it helped me to see sex was not all there was to a good relationship so it made me stronger.
