Scared, but content.

I was 18 when i found out i had HSV-2 (genital). For awhile i was in denial, i knew it could happen to me, but i just ignored it. For months i acted as if it wasnt true. I am not sure if I have genital herpes, however, I have a scheduled appointment with my doctor, soon. I have a burning sensation in the rectal area and stinging sensation on my lips? I am not sure what this means, if anyone has these type of symptoms, share your information with me. Thanks,
