In July I went to the doctor and she thought I had herpes so she perscribed me medication to take (which helped) but when she got the test back it came back negative. On Valtrex right now and depressed

Well it's been 11 months when I first found out I tested positive for genital herpes. The guy I was with for a while had sex with me, and never told me he had it. We are no longer together. Diagnosed today

I knew the risk I was running when I took my husband back. I thought we were careful, just not careful enough appearantly. We were split for 8 mths at one point and during that split his test came back positive, he blamed me. My tests came back negative. Until today. 18 months later. Be Sure!! Mis-diagnosed....

I should clarify... I mis-diagnosed myself! About 15 years ago my husband (ex now) went to Dr. with severe symptoms. Health clinic took one look and said Herpes. He had testing done... but never went back for results. About a week later I had similar symptoms.... everything fit with having herpes... when I kept breaking out...... Read more Chevron

just found out

i had been having the most annoying tingling sensation around my vulva. so i went and got it checked out. i asked to be tested for herpes and was called wednesday for my result. it was positive for type 2 genital herpes. it was my worst fear, and came true. i had slept around after an ego-crushing break-up, so im not surprised. i feel so guilty....
