Oral Sex w/ GH
Hi. I was recently diagnosed with Genital Herpes. My partner does not have it though. I am aware he cannot give ME oral sex during an outbreak but can I give HIM oral sex during an outbreak of mines and NOT give him the disease?
Unfortunately herpes can be transmitted by the giver or receiver of oral sex. The virus can occur in various parts of the body and, as you rightly say, there is more of a risk during an outbreak. You may also know that even so-called 'viral shedding' can occur at any time. To be entirely safe, the best option would be for him to use a condom even during oral sex.

I've just re-read my answer and want to make one small revision. In the first answer I said "to be entirely safe", it would be more accurate to say "it is safer."
