Q: Can cold sores on the mouth be passes to the vaginal area?

My boyfriend and I had sex a week ago while he had a cold sore, and not thinking about it he performed oral sex on me. Now I have painful blister-like bumps in my vaginal area. Is it possible his cold sore jumped to me? And will this be permanent or a one time thing? I've only ever had sex with him and one other person and I've never experienced this problem before. Could this just be a coincidental infection not relating to last weeks sex?

Yes, it is possible. That's how I got it. You should see your doctor as soon as possible if you haven't already...
