Q: Foods that may increase frequency of HSV 2 outbreaks

My partner has been doing a lot of research about HSV2 and outbreaks.  He has continues outbreaks and has read that certain foods bring this on.  He now avoids foods high in arginine: cocoa, peanut butter, nuts, brown rice, oatmeal, raisens.  He also has a hereditary heart condition, both parents died young (early 50's) of major heart attacks.  The foods he should be eating to assist with the heart are ones that have been said to increase a herpes outbreak.  Need some solid facts in regards to this.
