Does vigorous oral sex bring about outbreaks?

I have been having sex with my girlfriend (soon to be fiancee) for seven months now. She is aware that I have HSV 2 and is okay with it. I'm very diligent about keeping track of symptoms and abstaining from sex if I notice or feel anything out of the ordinary. I was diagnosed at the beginning of this year so I'm still trying to figure out how my body is responding to this virus.

My girlfriend and I have unprotected sex. This is quite honestly her decision as I'm more than willing to wear condoms. I really don't want her to get it but also admit that I like having spontaneous sex with her and feel that in a long term relationship condoms can become annoying. Again, she is aware of the risks, though sometimes I wonder if she knows just how aggravating this virus is.

My question is this. We tend to have quite aggressive sex and when she gives head it can also be rough. Pretty much every time she gives me oral sex I notice a rawness on the tip of my penis that can manifest in some redness. They're not bumps per se but are better described as an assortment of red spots. There is also some burning in the area of the tip (which is similar to when I have an outbreak - though during the outbreak there aren't any spots). The spots go away within a couple of days and there is absolutely no bursting or discharge or any other of the typical symptoms of herpes. In addition, generally I have noticed that when I have an outbreak there is burning of the lower back and genital area as well as fatigue and 'bumps' on the shaft of my penis. There are only a couple of bumps and they go away with no bursting after a couple of days. To date, even my initial outbreak I have had none of the bursting or discharge or flaking of the bumps that I have read are common. I am also on suppressive therapy and take Acyclovir tablets five times a day.

Could it be that the oral sex is giving me a minor outbreak? Or could it just be that sometimes the roughness of the oral sex is making the area raw?

There are two types of HSV, HSV type 1 and 2, and both can cause genital herpes.
