Q: can i have herpes this is crazy!!!

when i was performing oral on my husband everything was fine but at one point i went down and came back up and had my thumb pressed on his urethra and then he said that it hurt him. then when he would go to the restroom it hurt and was tender to the touch. we figured i had torn his urethra  or something so he made an appointment. when he went he told his doc that it hurt when he peed and was tender to the touch. so the doc swab his penis and took urine. then the results came back positive for herpes. can this be a false positive neither one of us have ever had and sores anywhere or any of the redness or swolleness. do i have herpes im so confused!!!!!!

its possible he could be cheating. I would get both of u tested. Cause if he has it its a possibility you may have it as well. Both of u should take the blood test. IF he refuses to take the blood test then thats a lil suspcious. And most likely he has type 2 so that means he got it else where or you have it & its dormant in your system.

When I was first diagnosed my doctor informed me that the virus has the potential to remain dormant or symptom free for years and thus people are sometimes unaware that they have been infected until something triggers and outbreak (possibly years later).  I think the only way you will know for sure is to be tested yourself - your doctor should be able to do blood tests to confirm whether you do or do not have it.  Hope this helps.

You should go in and be tested for the virus.  Be tested for all of the STD's:  HPV, Herpes I & II, AIDS, Hep C and all the bacterial ones.  If there's a test for an STD, have the test.  It's a blood test for all but the HPV, which is the pap test you should have every year, which is a swab.  Even if you had the test this year already, have another one to check for recent infection.  The tests for STDs are very accurate and take about a week to get the results back.  If it has been more than two weeks and you have no symptoms of an oral or gential herpes infection, then you probably didn't catch it from him.  If his tests came back positive for herpes, he caught it from someone.  Is he cheating on you?  Get the facts and don't think it couldn't happen to you.  If he's cheating, he will probably lie to you. You need to know.  If you lucked out and didn't get it from him, consider whether you want to have herpes.  It's painful, as you know, it lasts forever.  It comes on for the bigger events because it is often brought on by stress.  You will NEVER have a vaginal birth because if you do you will give herpes to your child.  So get ready for C-sections.  It's a major surgery that is nothing like giving birth and it leaves you with a pretty big scar.  If you want to find out if he's cheating, hire a good private investigator, licensed, with a good reputation for being accurate and discrete.  Not knowing is risking your life.

the best thing for you to do is to get tested yourself, he could have been cheating and got it from somewhere else. but by u performing oral sex on him not know he had it, it could be a chance that it might been passed along to you, so go and get tested fast
