Q: Herpes like sores on vagina but blood test proves negative for Herpes.

Hello, I am a bit excited and a bit confused all at the same time! About 2 weeks ago I started to develop very few sores on my vagina. They never amounted to anything big, meaning there was about 10 of them at the most. My Dr. immediately said...Yes, you have Genital Herpes and I was given blood tests on the same day. They tested for all STD's. Today, I found out that my test results are back and I am NEGATIVE for everything including HSV-1 and HSV-2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOw can this happen and what does this mean???? Is it really possible that I DON"T have Genital Herpes and that it was something else completely different????

Herpes testing is known to come up with false poitives and negatives.  Not knowing which tests you had - I would get IgM and IgG testing - which would typically confirm a recent or simply exposure to HSV2.  Assuming those also come up negative - i would get the lesions themselves cultured if you have another outbreak.
