Should I continue taking medication everyday to be safe?

My boyfriend is thinking of having sex with me He knows about me having H. I have type 2 genital by the way. My first outbreak was about 3 weeks ago and i took the medication my doctor prescribed to me. I took it 3 times a day, until i ran out of the meds and even if my outbreak went away, like she instructed me. Before having sex should I still purchase some more meds to take everyday even though im nott having any symtoms or outbreak before i engage in having sex with him?? We both know the risks even though I have no outbreak, but i hear the chance of spreading the H are low if i take the meds to prevent an outbreak. Thank you...

Oh and to note, i was taking zovirax.
