Q: Can u get exposed to Herpes and test negative for the virus?

Can a man get exposed to Herpes and give it to a woman sexually and test negative for the virus after she has tested positive?

Its possible if he has a previous type 1 herpes infection. It takes longer for type 2 herpes to convert over.

 

I would think if the girl is positive thats possible where he got it from. Cause it takes about 3 months to test positive in the blood work.
