So i have herpes and my friend is saying that maybe i got it from getting a tattoo. I dont think this is true. But not sure.

Well your doctor is a quack... Herpes can be found in blood. It's not normal but it can be in blood and since you bleed when you get a tattoo you can get herpes from a tattoo. There are blood tests for Herpes but they are very inaccurate because it doesn't "live" in blood but it can be there espeically during an outbreak. So yes there is a chance eventhough very small. You're more likely to get HIV or Hepititis from a tattoo. Also if the person tattooed someone's private area (which does occure) there is a chance for infection. It's way more probable that you has some kind of sexual contact with someone with Herpes (not everyone has signs and it is transmittable without outbreak) but Moral of the story is know who's inking you and be safe wear a condom use an oral damn etc etc etc!
