well. to provent the spead to your partner, using a condom is probably best. now if your partner is okay with you having hsv && he knows && wants to spend the rest of your life with him && he is okay with taking the risk of of getting it, then thats a different story. it is hardy for a guy to get it from a girl, then a girl to get it from a guy.

-i am twenty now, but when i was nineteen i was raped && i had contracted hsv from the guy who raped me. i was devastated && i thought know one would want me because of it. i mean so many people are so ignorant about hsv, they think people who have it are gross. && that is not true out all. i mean i did go around looking for it. you know. i have found that if someone doesnt accept you because of hsv, then they never really cared about you in the first place. i am kinda in a pickle at the moment. see i have been dating a guy now for about a month now && you know telling him on the first date that you have hsv isnt something you do. i havent told him yet-- && i am trying to figure out away to tell him. i am so scared he isnt going to feel the same way. i care about this guy a whole lot. && it has been super hard for me to actually find a guy i TRUST. idk if you have any advice. if you do please write back, sorry for venting.

There are two types of HSV, HSV type 1 and 2, and both can cause genital herpes.
