can I pass my herpes on to others by sharing washcloths

I had taken a shower and washed up with my washcloth. I did not have an outbreak at the time of washing up with the wash cloth; but my nephew went and took a shower behind me and used the same wash cloth right after I got out the shower. So I am really worried taht he may have the infection now. Is that possible? Can genital herpes be passed on my sharing wash cloths?

NO. The virus cannot live outside/away from the body. Toilet seats are also safe even if an outbreak is apparant.
