Can i practice as a Massage Therapist if i have genital herpes?

I recently found out that I have herpes. I have been planning and saving money for a while now to enroll in school for Massage Therapy. I need to know if this disease is going to prevent me from fulfilling my goal of becoming a Massage Therapist. Thank you for your help.

I am terribly unhappy to tell you this but i think you would be required to disclose this information to your patrons and it could make this profession very problematic for you.  I would get some career counseling and also speak to an infectious disease specialist to get their opinions as well.

Good luck

I did discuss this question with my doctor and she said that it won't interfere with my career. Thank you both for your help.
