I had my first outbreak In August and it hasn't gone away.

I was treated for a yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis and then concluded that this is a side-effect of my depo shot which expires 10/22 and I'm still having symptoms.

I've taken acyclovir 3x daily

I've taken lysine 2x daily

what else can i do.

I just read I need to give up coffee which I've always drank daily.

Is that going to help me?

What else can I do. I've seen a dr. 5x with no help.

You should be on 1,000 mg of Valtrex everyday until the intial herpes infection subsides.  You need to go back to your doctor and tell him so he can help you. The first few months is hell it does go into a remission I promise you, but it sounds like you need to build up you immune system with some juice drinks like with a juicer like carrot juice.  This would build up your immune system which fights the disease. Hang in there it does get easier.

There are two types of HSV, HSV type 1 and 2, and both can cause genital herpes.
