Q: Can asymthomatic viral shedding from genital herpes lead to several kinds of itches or itching?

I have found that ever since I ve acquired genital herpes, my body does not feel the same.  I feel I itch down there more often than not... Other people have expressed the same concerns.  Can someone address this question please.  I mean , I know that " asymthomatic" is means without sympthoms , but I don't really think that is the case.

Hey Sam, This might not be so much of an answer but I definitely agree with you that it happens! Im getting really scared that something else is wrong with me too because I have intense itching and sometimes random pains in my vaginal area and I'm not having an outbreak at the time. Also, putting in a tampon hurts now :( even though I've had herpes for 4 months and it never hurt before. I don't get it at all; I'm kind of at wits end now. I hope someone has an answer because I really dont want more bad news from the doctor :(
