Q: help with blood tests

I had sex w/ someone in the beginning of aug. since then i have had pain, tenderness and sensitivity in the genitals. I went for a blod test on 09-19-08 (herpes simplex virus I/II, Igg and human herpes virus type 6) which came back negative.  still having the pain, i went for another test on 10-14 (hsv type-2 - specific ab, Igg and hsv, Igm I/II combination which also came back negative.  how long does it take for the anitbodies to show up in the blood? my dr. told me that i do not have genital herpes and has referred me to a dermatologist. should i restest or do anything else? please help.

If you have an outbreak that looks like fever blisters and they hurt/sting...then you have herpes.
