Q: I recent been diagnosed for Genital Herpes, and my doctor took a blood sample. Should I ask for anot

I was tested and was diagnosed with genital herpes in June, yet I having difficulties dealing with the disease. I was tested only by blood sample, yet from research I have an understand that its not accurate. Recently my doctor does not want to retest me, because she believe it is accurate. My immune system seem to be perfectly Ok, as well as I have not had any break outs or symptoms that would cause to me worry. Should I demand my doctor to retest me.  What should I do?
