Q: My boyfriend performed oral sex on me a few nights ago. He woke up with a cold sore. But says he has never had a cold sore before. Does this mean that I have HSV-1 or HSV-2? I have no symptoms.

From all the research I have done, you can get vaginal herpes from a cold sore and oral sex.  Speaking from experience with this virus, try not to freak out and just wait and see.  You probably didn't contract it, and if you did you will know and then like all of the rest of us you will learn how to manage it.
