Hi Zosoman,   Assuming the sex worker has genital herpes (we can't assume they did) and the fact that you used a condom will certainly have reduced your chances of picking up any of the potential sexually transmitted diseases - including herpes. Of course a condom only protects some of the penis. It does not cover the whole genital region.   In terms of the symptoms, these can vary from person to person. Some men react to the latex and/or the spermicide in condoms. However, if you are used to the brand of condom, it is probably something else.   Your symptoms may partly be stress-related but this is no reason to ignore them. I think it would clearly be in your best interests to be checked out by a doctor.
