Q: How do you tell someone you are seeing that you have herpes? (for a guy telling a girl). Th girl who gave it to me i trusted. She had herpes and lied to me sayin shed just been tested and was clean.

im just starting to see a new girl who I like a lot and really dont want to scare her away. but I absolutely have to tell her because she needs to, and deserves to know.

Before things get really serious you are going to have to sit her down and tell her. Just tell her that you have something important to tell her and you want her to be openminded. Tell her what happened and how you got it, then your going to have to wait for her to decide. I know that it was very hard for me to tell my boyfriend now that i had it, but I had to tell him. This is the first guy that I have dated since ive gotten it so it is very new to me. If she really likes you too she will be scared but she will ask you questions and you guys can talk about the precautions and everything together. Having Herpes is kind of a good thing in a way because it weeds out the people who just want to have sex and use you, and shows you who the person really is right off the bat. I hope I helped you some. I just know what you are going through because I went through this 4 months ago and at the time I had only had it for 2 months. So it was really hard for me to tell my boyfriend because it was still very new to me as well.

thanks for ur advice really. so how  long do you think i should wait before talking about it with her?? my initial plan was to wait for like a while at least a couple months.. (shes a virgin so it wouldnt be too hard to wait... i wouldnt have to avoid sex in any awkward way). what do you think would be wrong with waiting for a while??
