I was recently dx with genital herpes. The actual outbreak has cleared but I am left with what my doctor called PHN in my right groin, abdomen and lower back. It hurts worse in my groin. I cry all the time. I am taking Gabapentin 600mgs for the nerve pain with no results. It's been almost 3 months and it is wearing me out.It's almost unbareable at this point. Please can anyone offer insight and suggestion to reduce my pain. I am not a wimp by a long short and have a pretty high tollerance for pain. Please will someone hurry and answer me I am desperate. My doctor seems to think the medication she perscribed should help but NO,NO,NO.
