Will oral sex with somone who is HSV-1 positive cause an uninfected person to get gential herpes?

I had unprotected oral sex with somone who is positive with Herpes virus. I know this because recently they suffered an out break from cold sores.

HSV1 from the mouth area can transfer to your genital area.  that's why it's important to refrain from oral sex with someone who even suspects cold sores are developing.

Yes you can, i myself contrated hsv 1 - genital herpes from a person through oral sex, they didnt have an outbreak at the time and it still passed, allthough im led to believe that the hsv 1 strain is less agressive than the hsv 2 strain its still eassily spread.
