Q: One Last Question....

Who ever answered "still confused" thank you very much. Your answer was

very helpful.

Here's one more question:

Do other viruses such as HIV or Hep C act the same way that herpes does in that you

may test negative for years while actually being positive (with no symptoms or

antibodies present)

If they operate in a similar fashion...that's a very scary thought.

That's a very good question! I'm pretty sure it's not like HIV or Hep C. When they test for Herpes, they do a culture like when you have an outbreak. With a culture the results are always correct. They can also test useing a blood sample, this is the test that's not always correct only because it is searching for antibodies. Also! Some people have herpes and never know only because they've never had any symptoms. You can go your whole life without any symptoms and still carry and spread it.
