What is the % of efficiacy for those over 80 years?
I was told by my internist that the efficiacy rate for those over 80 is about 20%; is this true? I'm concerned about my almost 90 year old mother & the potential side effects.

I don't understand your question or what you mean by the term "efficiacy".
Do you mean the percentage of people with herpes over the age of 80?
The effectiveness of medication for herpes for elderly people?
And which type of herpes are you concerned about - oral or genital?
