Can I spread an outbreak while taking a shower?
This might sound like a stupid question but I just found out that I may have herpes and since I didn't know, I've already spread some of the infection around my genital area. Now I have new bumps in different places. Does cleansing the area with soap while taking a shower also spread it? I am so paranoid of contaminating everything! Also, I've heard that you usually get an outbreak in the same place each time. Since I spread mine unknowingly..will it also come back there? I really hope not because it spread to the worst spots :(

good question. I always think of this when im taking a shower to. I sure hope this dont happen
