Q: I have herpes but my partner doesn't. Is it possible for us to have unprotected sex?

We want to have children but are unsure about the chances of him contracting the virus.

Yes it is possible as long as the person without hsv2 accepts the potental of getting hsv2.

Look my husband and I have been having unprotected sex for over 20 years and he does not have hsv2. We just don't have sex if I get symptoms. I know when I am feeling funny downstairs.

I have hsv2 over 25 yrs, and had kids vaginally under the care of an OBGYN. Talk with your OB.

The best way that I can think of is to use the method used as those who use sperm from donors. This will eliminate any physical contact and you can still have children. but i wouldn't be to quick to try and have children knowing the fact that you can pass the virus to your child.
