Type 1 is usually oral herpes. I'm affraid I don't know too much about Oral Herpes, I have Genital Herpes (type 2). I do know, that you can carry herpes ever since your 1st partner... some people have it and will never show any symptoms of herpes. You are very lucky, it doens't sound like you have a severe case. Some people have outbreaks every month! It really depends on your immune system and stress level. If you're highly stressed, you are able to have more outbreaks. Don't get too worried about it, it will do you no good. 1 in 4 AMericans carry the herpes virus. You can find a lot of information on the internet as well. Type in Herpes Virus in your search engine and you'll get a lot of your answers answered as well.
