Q: I have a continuous watery or yellowish vaginal discharge but I take Valtrex.

I have had HSV-2 for over 20 years.  I have taken acyclovir and Valacyclovir  (Valtrex) for 9 years now.  My specialist doctor informed me that "I can't stay on them for too long".  Up until then, I never did have any discharge, before or after the Valtrex.  Anyway, I stopped taking the Valtrex and I turned to an alternative, chinese medicine which I tried for 9 months.  This did not work and I had a discharge throughout the 9 months.  I resumed taking my  Valrex.  I have been on them for a week now but I still have a horrible discharge.  I know that I have just started taking the Valtrex again but although other symptoms i.e, tingling etc, is reducing, there seems to be no change with the discharge.  WILL IT EVER GO AWAY?
