im talking to this girl we hit it off and we are not dating yet. but she wants sex. she has herpes but she said she has never had an out break. i dont have herpes. i like the girl. but im to afraid of getting herpes to do anything at all with her. i dont want to push her away for that reason then again im a very sexual guy. and if we kept talking i would want to have sex. what is the safest way for me (a guy) to protect himself from a girl who has herpes. im really confuesed on this matter and i have no clue what to do i was reading online that not even a condom would help. i need some help/advice on the matter please.

Unfortunately, there is no 100% herpes-proof method of having sex.  However, using a condom would be the best way for you to protect yourself.  Also, find out if she is taking any medication for it.  You are more protected if she is.

Herpes does not define who she is, and I commend you for not judging her after you found out.

This is only a suggestion and something I was considering.  They make rubber underwear that you can buy.  They don't guarantee or prevent anything but I think they would help... might be kinda kindy for her though.  The great thing is they have condom attachments.

check it out here.... and no I don't work for them or have any association with the company.

There are two types of HSV, HSV type 1 and 2, and both can cause genital herpes.
