Q: I'm confused. If I contracted genital HSV1 from my partner who performed oral sex on me, does this mean that he can now contract genital herpes from me through intercourse? And is oral sex out 4 good?
I have just been diagnosed with HSV1 on my genitals and now have to confront my partner with this information, he doesn't know he has it, nor does he know he has passed it on to me. I want to be able to answer any questions he has... i.e. "Can you give me genital herpes now?" "Can I still perform oral sex on you?" when I do tell him. The more information I have will help in giving him the correct answer versus the ignorance that is associated with the word herpes.
