I had a seven year relationship with a herpies sufferer, we had two kids who do not have the disease and i have tested negative to the virus, am i a threat to future partners?

If you are contemplating leaving the relationship then I would get re-tested and make sure you do a "control test' along with whatever test you choose to do tomake sure that you are indeed negative.  I would still use a condom with any sexual exposure since you want to be 100% safe from getting herpes and if there is even a remote chance you do harbor herpes - you don't want to give it to someone else.
