Is it true you can't get HSV 1 genitals if you have had it in your mouth before?

OKay i got the results back from the Dr and i tested positive for HSV1... i read somewhere that after having cold sores in your mouth (HSV1) you develop antibodies against it and you cant really transmit it to your genitals through oral sex if both partners have HSV1... is this true?
