Q: Need to know the truth for myself

I went on a trip with family members and came back and became intimate with my husband of 12 years. The day after I began to have flu like symptoms and a few days after that I landed in the emergeny room.  I was diagnosed with possible flu like symptoms and a urinary infection.  Two or three weeks later after becoming intimate with my husband again I was diagnosed with Thrichomonas. Couple weeks later I had what I know today as an outbreak.  I had a blood test done  and I was negative for herpes. A few months later I had another outbreak and I tested positive for Herpes. My husband finaly admitted to cheating but he claims he has had no symptoms making it seems like he did not transmitted the virus to me. We where married 12 years and I have never had another sexual partner other than him. Can he not show symptoms and continue to transmit the virus to others.

You had your first outbreak the first time your got std tested. The 2nd time you got std tested you had your 2nd outbreak. It takes 3 months about for the antibodies to show up positive on the blood test. Its hard to tell actually when he cheated. He could of had it a year ago & now you just caught it or he had a rescent infection & you caught it that way to.

I am confused now....Can someone be asymptomatic for so long. We both had blood test done. Both were negatives. I din't have a second blood test done...I had a swab or culture sample taken from my second outbreak.  IT came back positive for me.  He never had a second blood test for what I know.

Yes, being a carrier a person can show no signs of herpes  and yet pass it to others.

Thank you!! Maybe after his next victim gets ill he will accept responsibility for his action. I think I forgot to say we are getting a divorce.
