I have been experiencing mild discomfort on my penis due to a cut which has been on and off for less than a year. It would occur on the same spot. I do not have any bumps, or any painful urination or discharge. Is this herpes?

Q: I dont have bumps on my shaft. However have a tiny cut which is slowly healing. Is that herpes?

I have herpes and that sounds like it is possible you do carry it. You should seek medical attention to be certain. You will only know if you get a culture or blood test done. If it is in fact herpes, don't think your world has come to an end. 1 in 4 americans carry herpes and live with it. It's not that big of a deal.
