I think you are worrying needlessly. Herpes is not a product or side-effect of masturbation if that's what you are worried about. This site has a nice short animation about HSV and its transmission, called What is Genital Herpes? For a bit more depth, you could try reading this article called Genital Herpes: The Basics.

The fact that you are worrying about herpes suggests you may have some rash or maybe an irritation around your genitals? If you haven't yet had sex, or you are regularly using barrier methods such as condoms, suggests there is little to be alarmed about. Still, itching or rashes are uncomfortable and should probably be checked out in order to get some treatment.
